PAGE 3, horses, canopy & hot springs
The following day, we headed up to another volcano. Our first stop was to dawn our gear for the canopy tour. That's our Dila on the right, the first to mount up (but she's hard to see on a brown saddle)....then we headed out...
Aracelly felt more "secure" with her guide pulling the reins, so that's how she rode....
We tied up our horses at the base of the canopy tour, and walked to the top. Martha stopped for a drink at the stream...
...and then our travels sped up a little....
We zipped to 17 platforms, and Dila ran along the ground to meet us when we arrived...
....and as with her horse, Aracelly felt more "secure" traveling with our guide...
Finally we reached the bottom platform where Dila met us, and it was time to head out to the hot springs. People come here from all over the world to get healed from anything from arthritis to cancer, and this is where the mud for those $300 mud packs comes from...
The walk and ride are like no other.....
...we tied up the horses, and
headed to the springs...
