FRANKY'S FARM

represents 1 Dream Getaway's first opportunity for you to have your piece of Paradise in Costa Rica. Come see it with-or-without a sexy 1 Dream Getaway companion.  Make it your personal sprawling estate in Paradise, or think of it as a great business opportunity in Costa Rica. As always, 1 Dream Getaway is with you every step of the way, so you have no worries about being cheated or not understanding what you are getting into.

Remember Xiamara from our Companion's Page?  Here she is with her 80-year-old father, Franky.

Today was our first opportunity to know Xiamara's family, and they are really fantastic.  As we said, her husband was killed in a car wreck (the #1 cause of death in Costa Rica), and she now has two boys to put through Engineering school. She is currently selling clothes and cosmetics, and now has enrolled herself in a beauty school. She hopes to do pedicures, manicures and massages in her client's homes, and needs a car.  Franky has decided to sell his farm to get her one.

Located in Santa Barbara, adjoining Palo Verde National Park, this property offers LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is 2 miles from the Rio Tempisque, and 25 minutes' drive from LIR (Manuel Ortega Liberia International Airport), Coco, Tamarindo, Brasilito, Hermosa and Panama Beaches. It is also just 10 minutes from the major town of Filadelfia. There are good roads, all utilities, and lots of water with three complete and permitted wells. Franky and Xiamara will assist in any aspect of building your home, B&B or business. There are 14.5 hectares  of flat, clear, easily build able land, and the price is just $20,000 per hectare (2 1/2 acres).

These photo were taken March 28, 2008 after (typically) five months without a drop of rain. There are several hectares of teak forest (REAL GUANACASTE TEAK). and a lake that is currently dry, but can be kept 12 months/year.  Another idea would be to make an attractive border to the lake and keep it filled from the nearby well. It could be a huge, beautiful swimming pool with very low maintenance and no chemicals. In this very dry time, the water table was ten feet below the surface. The lake is shown below by the green area:

The water from the wells is what bottled water companies can only dream of, and by pumping into the lake (pool???) in dry season the crystal water filters back through the ground and into the water table. Six months per year the rain takes care of that. How is that for healthy and eco-friendly?  It could be Costa Rica's (maybe the world's) largest swimming pool and very easy to keep up with no chemicals. A waterfall would really set it off. This astounding property would also be great for horseback tours, and you could ride/walk your guests to a Palo Verde water tour.

At noon, we went to the only area restaurant for lunch.  Although Franky and Xiamara are friends of the owners, we still had to wait an hour for a table. Tour guides bring hundreds of tourists here every day (remember, this is our low season), and there is NO place to stay in the area.

What an opportunity!  We even had to park down the road to get to the restaurant:

Imagine having your own home/Bed-and-Breakfast/ restaurant where there is lots of parking, no competition, and then serve food other than rice and beans. After lunch, we stopped to see the neighbor next to Franky's farm, but they were not home:

Of course, our Gomer decided to check out the mud at the river bank:

We're not only offering Tico prices, but Ticos to get the permits and legalities.  If you have not been to Costa Rica, you do not realize what a huge benefit that is. Costs and time will be a fraction of what they would be without our help. As always, 1 Dream Getaway is with you every step of the way and things turn out just as you hope they will. What are you waiting for?  Franky and Xiamara are waiting for you:

Come see it for yourself, and get your own piece of Paradise.
